The Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Padjadjaran (Fapet Unpad) plays an essential role in promoting public health through disease prevention in livestock. Educational programs and research focus on early detection, control, and prevention of zoonotic diseases such as brucellosis, avian influenza, and anthrax.

Fapet Unpad also collaborates with government agencies and communities to deliver animal health services, support vaccination campaigns, and promote biosecurity awareness, reducing the risk of animal-to-human disease transmission.

To ensure food safety and support community well-being, Fapet Unpad conducts research and outreach programs focused on the production of safe, nutritious, and high-quality animal-based food products. These programs emphasize proper handling, hygiene, and inspection standards for meat, milk, and eggs.

The faculty also provides training for students and local producers to ensure that food products meet public health standards and reduce the risk of foodborne illness.

The Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Padjadjaran (Fapet Unpad) promotes public health by raising awareness of the nutritional value of animal-based proteins such as meat, milk, and eggs. Through seminars, student community service (KKN), and collaborations with local health and agriculture departments, the faculty educates communities on the importance of consuming safe and nutritious animal products.

This effort aligns with national and global strategies to reduce malnutrition, especially in children and vulnerable populations, and supports the broader goal of achieving good health and well-being for all.
