Our university is actively involved in promoting sustainable urban development through a range of campus-based initiatives. We integrate green infrastructure principles in our campus planning by maintaining green open spaces, adopting energy-efficient buildings, and implementing waste management programs that minimize pollution. These efforts not only improve the campus environment but also serve as a living laboratory for students and researchers to develop innovative solutions for sustainable cities. By applying environmentally responsible practices within our university, we aim to set an example for local communities and contribute to more sustainable urban environments in the surrounding area.

Our university conducts extensive research on sustainable housing, urban resilience, disaster risk reduction, and transportation systems that are inclusive and environmentally friendly. We also collaborate with local governments and community groups to implement programs that improve urban living conditions, such as affordable housing projects, community-based disaster preparedness initiatives, and the promotion of active mobility like cycling and walking. These research and outreach activities are part of our commitment to support communities in building inclusive, safe, and sustainable settlements, in line with the targets of SDG 11.

We believe education plays a key role in creating sustainable cities. Our university offers courses, seminars, and workshops that cover topics such as urban planning, smart city technology, climate-resilient infrastructure, and sustainable transportation. We also organize public campaigns and awareness programs to educate students and local residents on the importance of reducing carbon footprints, maintaining clean and green environments, and preparing for climate-related disasters. Through these educational initiatives, we aim to raise awareness, inspire behavioral change, and empower individuals to take an active role in making their cities more sustainable and resilient.
